Spur Awards For Some of Our Favorite Writers

I'm so happy and proud of fellow bloggers/writers James Reasoner and Matthew Mayo. Both had have their novels recognized by the Western Writers of America SPUR awards this year.

James' second Redemption, Kansas novel, HUNTERS, was a finalist for the Best Mass Market Paperback. James has been writing best-selling Westerns for many many years, and this is the third time that James' has been a finalist for a Spur Award.

And Matt Mayo's short novel TUCKER'S RECKONING, won the 2013 Spur Award for Best Western Short Novel. I've mentioned Matt's books several times on this blog; he's written several Black Horse Western books and also has a best selling series being published here that includes the COWBOYS, MOUNTAIN MEN & GRIZZLY BEARS book, and he and his wife Jennifer Smith-Mayo have collaborated on a series that includes MAINE ICONS: 50 Classic Symbols of the Pine Tree State.

Here's the link to the amazon pages for HUNTERS, and TUCKER'S RECKONING.

Congratulations to both James and Matthew!
