Thanks! Rat in the walls was my second Lovecraft story. The first was The Shadow Over Innsmouth.

And, until this day, i can't understand why so many people dismiss pulps as something despicable.

One of my favorite Lovecraft tales is "Cool Air",although not a Cthulhu Mythos story. Oddly enough even the great Farnsworth Wright made mistakes from time to time as he rejected it. The story was published in Tales of Magic and Mystery in 1928.

Thanks for the links. I think I have all these in their paperback published versions but I don't know if there are differences.
