This video of the dog rescue out of the L.A. River is probably all over the Internet by now. After a stressful week, this happy ending was very much appreciated.
Thanks for sharing this Laurie. Cliche though it may be it was truly heart warming. By coincidence I happened to watch a program on the Military Channel last night about our soldiers and Marines in Iraq and the dogs that they have rescued. Also how much the dogs helped them stay sane in an insane place while they were deployed there.
I'm a writer, editor, and wanna-be photographer. I blog about writing, reading traveling, pulp fiction, London, history, westerns at one of my two blogs: The Londonholic and Laurie's Wild West. Take your pick.
...for a post related to pulp fiction, some posts are categorized according to the genre. So look under "pulp fiction," but also look under "pulp fiction - westerns" or "pulp fiction - detective," for example. Topics under "pulp covers" also have abbreviated historical information as well.

Absolutely wonderful.
They interviewed the fire fighter tonight - he was treated for dog bites but nothing severe. Seems like a great guy - very modest.
I love our firemen!!!
:-)
